Consulting services

Engineering expertise, scoped to your project

CIQ consulting puts high-performance computing (HPC) architects, Linux infrastructure specialists, and engineers who contribute to Rocky Linux and Warewulf on your project team. We scope the engagement, execute the work, and transfer the knowledge so your team owns the result.

What we cover

CIQ consulting covers scoped infrastructure projects: migrations from CentOS or other distributions to Rocky Linux, HPC cluster builds and optimization, security hardening and FIPS 140-3 compliance, bare-metal provisioning with Warewulf, and automation rollouts with Ascender. We plan, execute, and hand off.

Rocky Linux migrations and infrastructure optimization

We migrate workloads from CentOS, RHEL, or other distributions to Rocky Linux, tune kernel and system configurations for your workload profile, and validate performance before handoff.

CIQ engineers on your project

CIQ consulting embeds engineers in your project for infrastructure design, security hardening, and performance tuning. CIQ's engineering team includes active contributors to Rocky Linux and Warewulf and the developers of Fuzzball and Ascender Pro.

Knowledge transfer built in

Every engagement includes documentation and training so your team can operate independently after handoff. Full knowledge transfer at every milestone — your team retains complete operational ownership.

How consulting engagements work

CIQ consulting runs as fixed-scope engagements with defined deliverables. We assess your current environment, propose a project plan, execute alongside your team, and close with documentation and knowledge transfer. Typical engagements run 2–12 weeks depending on scope.

Assessment and planning

Every engagement starts with an infrastructure assessment. We document your current state, identify gaps and risks, and deliver a project plan with specific milestones before any migration or deployment begins.

Execution and handoff

We handle the technical execution — migrations, configuration, testing, validation — and hand off a documented, production-ready environment. If your project needs ongoing support after the engagement, CIQ support tiers (Standard and Premium) provide continued coverage.
